My name is Heather Sherry and I am in my fourth and final year in one of Irelands leading art schools- Limerick School of Art & Design. I am in my third year of studying BA Fine Art Printmaking and I have designed this website to display, promote and talk about both my curricular and extra curricular works.
I have studied many printmaking techniques and up until the last academic year I experimented with as many techniques as possible to try and find my forte. Drawing is my passion and as I work with a photo-realistic style of drawing and alot of photography I do alot of screen-printing and photo-lithography.
Aside from college work I also get commisioned to do chalk drawings on raw sufaces such a slate and wood for peoples homes. The imagery on these is always organic substances such a flora and fauna, and fruit and vegetables. Lily's are a particular favourite flower of mine to both photograph and draw.
I also have been quite sucessful in selling portrait drawings as gifts. These are grayscale pencil drawings which are drawn from photographs.
